What are RICS Residential Surveys?

There are 3 types of RICS home surveys available when you are purchasing or selling a property that cover different levels of detail and information. They are -

Level 1 - Condition Survey which is a basic limited survey.

Level 2 - Homebuyers Survey which is a very commonly used survey and ideal for most properties.

Level 3 - Building Survey which is a full detailed survey.

Choosing the right survey will help highlight any serious problems and advise you of the specific risks before you commit to the process of buying or selling a property. It may also assist in negotiating a better purchasing deal. These surveys can only be carried out by qualified Chartered Building Surveyors.
