Level 1: RICS Condition Report

Only suitable for new build, or a conventional house, flat, or bungalow in good condition less than 20 years old.

A Level 1 RICS survey is the most basic report and designed for clients (buyers, vendors and owners) seeking a professional and objective report on the condition of a property.

This report focuses purely on the condition of the property by rating the different parts of the building and identifying any areas that need attention. It is a matter-of-fact assessment of the condition and does not provide any advice on remedial works or any costings and no tests of the building fabric or services are undertaken.

The RICS Home Survey – Level 1 service includes:
• An inspection of the property
• A report based on the inspection
• The part or element described in enough detail so that it can be properly identified
• Provides a clear and concise expression of the surveyor’s professional assessment and condition of each part or element
• Helps gain an objective view of the condition of the property.
